So I've already forgotten about this thing. Well, not really. Well... Okay, I did forget sometimes! But other times I would remember about it, but the timing was terrible. I couldn't update it then, and blah blah. Insert excuses here.
Moving on. I am now, or my family is, the owner of a Golden Retriever/Yellow Labrador mix. A Golden Labrador? Anyways, he resembles a Golden more than a Lab, which I am definitely okay with. We've had him for about a week or so, and we have yet to name the poor thing! He's pretty big, I believe he's already reached twenty pounds! And to believe he's just over three months old!
However cute he may be, I'm not fully content with him being in my house. My cat hasn't been the same. The poor kitty came downstairs two days ago, just to get chased up the stairs by the puppy! So I'm not thrilled that he's terrorizing my poor cat, but I'll admit. He can be super cute and tons of fun.
REALLY looking forward to the whole "I'm done trying to eat you because I'm teething" thing.
Moving on. Being the über cool person that I am, I read Brisingr just a bit ago. I crammed four hundred pages into two days, and the other three hundred pages I read spread out over the week. Might I say, phenomenal book?
The whole Eragon series is very good actually. I love everything! You think you know something, and then boom it's changed! So if you haven't read it yet, shame on you! You're ignoring one of the best series out there!
Moving on. Lights. No, not electricity. I'm talking the band Lights. The person Lights. I found her about a year or so ago, and I was impressed! The only songs I had of hers was "Drive My Soul," "It's Over Cassinova," and "February Air." I was hooked right off the bat! But I couldn't find her CD anywhere, so I stuck with those songs for a good couple of months on repeat. Well recently, her album dropped in the U.S., and I couldn't have been more excited! I listened to everything and... Dang! I love every single song on there. My favorite so far has been "Saviour." The music video that she made for it was her best so far. Well, I rewatched all of her Vlogs on YouTube, and gosh. I've never seen a girl I've related to so much. With a common love for video games and beef jerky, I knew I had found the person I could look up to.
So yeah. That's everything that's happened recently. Lights, you're amazing and I hope you keep making music. Best of luck in your career!

Idaho and Montana, You Better Watch Out!
Recently (like two months ago) Idaho gave the okay to hunters to kill 220 of the 1000 wolves in the state. Hunting season began on September 1st and Montana is following in Idaho's footsteps by declaring October to be the beginning of wolf hunting season.
I am appalled at this. The red wolves were almost exterminated from the face of this planet because we allowed them to hunt and destroy their territory! In fact the last red wolf in the wild was killed in 1905. Although we helped them come back, their numbers are only at 300 with 200 of them being in captivity. Now we want to repeat this idiocy with the gray wolf? Are you serious?!
The numbers of gray wolves in the United States is only around 12,000. I know this may seem like a lot, but when compared to the white-tailed deer's population at 30 million, this is ridiculous!
I am completely against the decision to destroy the wolves, if they're bugging your cattle, CAPTURE THEM AND REMOVE THEM FROM THE AREA! It's really not as hard as you're letting it seem!
Sorry for the rant, I'm just editing a paper on the topic of wolves and I remembered this.

I Got a Blog!
It's me, Sam! I decided to get a blog just because, I don't know, I'm really bored all the time! That and I have TONS of time to kill after my night classes at college.
So yep! Today is Wednesday and it's currently 4:09 in the morning. Yeah, I'm a tad bit of a night owl. Today... What did I do?
Well my morning (or afternoon) began at 1:30 in the afternoon and I laid around the house all day keeping my mom company until my brother got home from high school. He's a freshman, how cute! Anyways, when he got home he brought in our package from the mail box!
Guess what it was?
The Sims 2 University! I was really excited, but I haven't got to play it yet. When he came home, I only had time to install it on my laptop before I had to run to Kaitlin's house so we could ride to college. I was going to play when I got home from my Web Design class, but I had homework. So like a good little girl, I got it done immediately!
I'm trying to wake up earlier because since I've started college, I rarely get to see my family (and I live with them!) anymore. It really stinks because my little brother and I are really close and I miss him!
But more so, I really miss my best friend, Heather. She's twelve hours away from me now going to a separate college. I haven't seen her in a long time.
What am I doing? I can't end this on a sad note! Recently, well two days ago now, my boyfriend and I celebrated our two year and one month anniversary. Well, we didn't make plans to see each other, it wasn't that big of a deal. But nonetheless! It happened. :]
